5 /5 Stacey Trock: I want expecting much from a gem shop on a touristy strip, but was pleasantly surprised! The owner mines and wholesales opals, and you can buy rough opals for a great price. Makes a fab souvenir! I was just browsing, but I overheard the owner with some customers and he seemed to know his stuff. (Although he also talked a LOT, but not in a pressure-y way). Will definitely be back when I have a gift to get. Lots of smaller kid & aura-friendly rocks (in the $5 range) too.
