1 /5 sabita gautam: I visited Prouds Jewellery on June 5th around 5 PM with my sister to buy a watch for a friend’s birthday. The watch had already been chosen, so we went in just to make the purchase.
However, the experience was very disappointing and upsetting. When I asked a male staff member about the watch, his first response was, “Do you guys have a budget?” The tone was rude, and the way he said it felt racially biased and judgmental — as if we couldn’t afford anything in the store just by looking at us. I left the store feeling humiliated and angry. There’s no excuse for that kind of attitude — it was rude, condescending, and clearly racially biased. It’s unacceptable for any staff member to treat customers like that. Prouds needs to seriously address this kind of behaviour if they care at all about respectful service and basic decency.
