3 /5 Jayden lim: Wanted to give an honest take on my first visit to Grill’d. I came in for lunch and dined in since it was quiet—no one else was there. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken burger ($15.90), added fries for $5, and got an extra sauce tub for $1.50. For what you get, I did feel the fries were overpriced—especially since the sauce alone was nearly a third of the price of the fries.
As for the burger, I’d seen reviews mentioning stale buns, and I did experience something similar. I chose the panini bun, which was quite tough and chewy—might stick with the standard bun next time. On the upside, the burger was sauced nicely, and the chicken patty was fried and cooked well. The patty tasted somewhere between processed and natural—not bad, but not amazing either.
Fries came out hot and crispy for the most part, though I did find a couple of stale, cold pieces that seemed like they were from an older batch. Service was decent—the staff checked in on how the meal was going, which I appreciated.
All in all, it was just okay. I can understand why people who order delivery might be disappointed if the food arrives cold or stale. If you’re curious, maybe try dining in instead—it might be a better experience.
