Lisa Ziegler I normally never write a Google review but this restaurant really deserves our support. We bumped into this place by pure luck, and now it’s a must-visit every time we come to Lane Cove. The lovely owner shared with us that they’ve been open for over 30 years. Ive we lived in Lane cove we would definitely be here every week. Their curry selection is full of flavour, with lots of vegetarian options, and their rice curry box meals start at just $8 — great value for such delicious food. The naan is freshly baked in their clay oven and served warm — soft, fluffy, and absolutely perfect. Don’t miss the mango lassi — the best we’ve ever had! My partner described it as “like melted mango ice cream,” and it pairs beautifully with the curries. It’s amazing for takeaway lunch or dinner — we love picking it up and heading to the new park nearby to enjoy it in the sunshine. Highly recommended!

Dean Shen I liked the vibe and prefer it over the Dee Why store. The fried calamari was cold but the staff apologized and gave me a new hot one immediately. The kids meal is also better than other places with a toy included. Happy with that.

Pete D We love Chargrill Charlies! This shop is no different to others offering some of the best chargrilled chicken around. Very well priced for the portion sizes and the chicken is always juicy and tender. Their chips are far superior to most most chicken shops around but thats subjective.

maisie yang A warm, family-run community pizza place. It looks like they’ve been making pizzas since 1988 (that’s what it says on the menu). The pizzas are freshly made, reasonably priced, and the service is really friendly. The only downside is that they don’t have their own signature drinks or desserts, but overall it’s a lovely local spot.

Lei sun I work near the shop and come to the shop often. There are various choices to choose, suitable for working meal and friends reunion. This deep fried pork intestines is my try today, which is really nice, crunchy outside and juicy inside. Strongly recommend. The staff here are warm and friendly. Nice place!

Zee WildDog Ordered via uber eats. Got the massaman curry and tom kha gai soup. Both were really delicious! I thought the portion of meat and potato was great. Beef was tender, very flavourful. And the soup was awesome too! The perfect amount of spice for me.

Kenny Wong A simple, quiet restaurant bar with food thats anything but. The depth and care in the preparation of each dish shines through every bite. The calamari bites back when dipped in the delicious mango sweet chilli sauce. The steak perfectly medium rare, complemented beautifully by an addictively rich and creamy mushroom sauce. A seductive red wine sauce mellowing behind the tender meat and juices flowing from every cut. On the surface, its just another small hotel restaurant thats tucked away quietly at the end of a pristine lobby. Nothing of its plain decor speaks to its extravagence in taste, its love and care for each ingredient and its complexity in the craft of balancing an entire dishs flavour profile for a well rounded, sensational satiating experience. An excellent range of cuisines means that itll keep us coming back for more. Couldnt be happier with finding this hidden gem.

Ellie Lyu I was amazed by their food and coffee—especially since they serve ONA coffee. It’s really hard to find ONA in North Ryde! I hadn’t heard of this place until I came here to collect a parcel. I’m wondering why they don’t have any signs outside, because they have so many cool items. I even grabbed some Knafeh cookies before leaving—for just $7 each.
