4 /5 Chenlin Qian: Overall, it’s a decent option for a suburban restaurant. The interior is lovely — very modern and stylish — and the food itself tasted great. Unfortunately, the front-of-house service was the weak point. It took quite a while for someone to come and take our order, and throughout our visit, many tables seemed to be waiting a long time for their food. At one point, a lady in a group of six had her order cancelled for some reason and was left without food for at least half an hour. No staff checked on her, and she had to approach the waitresses herself before the issue was discovered. When we placed our order, I asked a few questions about the dishes. The waitress explained them and kindly said that if I wasn’t happy, she would replace or adjust it. However, she never returned to check how everything was. That said, I’m still giving it 4 out of 5 because I can see the potential. The food and atmosphere are strong points, and I would love to return — hopefully next time with more attentive and efficient service.

5 /5 Veronica Wong: We travelled west, away from Cronulla to dine at this lovely cafe/restaurant on Valentines Day. Loved everything about it - the food, service and decor. Even though it was between dining hours, the owner was very accommodating. We ordered the herb crusted barramundi, steak frites and fire&earth salad. The fish and steak were perfectly cooked and seasoned, accompanied by very tasty sauces. And the salad was equally delicious. High end food with high quality ingredients, for very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back for brekkie and dinner. We want to try everything from the menu. Thank you to the owner and Aaliyah for the wonderful experience.

5 /5 Jessica Steele: We recently held our engagement party at Jack Gray Café and honestly couldn’t recommend it more. The whole day was perfect, and we felt so well looked after by the staff from start to finish. The venue itself was fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor spaces that gave our guests the best of both worlds. The recent renovations have made the space look beautiful and modern. Having exclusive use of the venue was such a bonus, and we loved that we were able to decorate it exactly how we wanted. Throughout the event, the staff regularly checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly and that our guests were well fed and happy. We received so many compliments about the food, not only how delicious it was, but also how generous the portions were. Overall, we had such a positive experience and would absolutely recommend hosting an event here.
