thasinul alavi I recently visited Yamandi and honestly had a great experience from start to finish. The first thing that stood out to me was the traditional atmosphere. The interior design is beautiful — wooden frames, Arabic-style shelves, antique metal pots, lanterns, and patterned furniture. It really feels like a cultural and heritage-inspired restaurant, not just a regular place to eat. The decoration creates a very warm and inviting vibe, and it makes you enjoy the meal even more.
I ordered the Lamb Shank Mandi, and it was delicious. The lamb was soft, tender, and full of flavour. You can tell it has been cooked slowly because the meat comes off the bone easily. The rice was light and well-seasoned, not oily, and the portion size was generous. The chicken piece that came with it was also tasty, with a nice roasted flavour and colour. Altogether, the dish felt very comforting and satisfying. I would definitely order it again.
The service at Yamandi was also very good. The staff were polite, welcoming, and quick to serve. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Even during busy times, they kept the tables clean and managed the customers nicely.
The overall environment made the experience even better. The heritage décor, the Middle Eastern vibe, and the calm seating arrangement all created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can sit comfortably, have a good meal, and also take photos because the interior is beautiful.
For anyone who enjoys Mandi, Arabic food, or simply wants a unique dining experience, I would definitely recommend Yamandi. The food is tasty, the portions are good, the service is friendly, and the environment has a special charm. A very satisfying visit overall.
