Golden Oceans Chinese Seafood Restaurant (文興海鲜酒楼) - NSW

Luke Wood Golden Oceans Chinese Seafood Restaurant was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with a great traditional seafood restaurant feel that makes it perfect for groups or family dinners. The waitresses were very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the meal. The food was excellent — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully cooked. The seafood was especially impressive and the portions were generous. Overall a great place with amazing food, great service, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Sushi Bar Hiro - NSW

Kim Gilloley A truly hidden gem in this area where you don’t usually get a good or near authentic Japanese food, but this is the place. We had katsu bento box and the seasonal blue fin tuna combo and they are DELISH, katsu has become my go-to. One thing just to flag is the wait time is a bit long since they are a small team, but it was not an issue for me.

Baybreeze Cafe - NSW

Michelle Currey This is very much a cafe but with restaurant prices. The barramundi was delicious with a lovely sauce. However, the salad/garnish on top was very lacklustre. Raw cabbage slices, parsley and dill. A few cut cherry tomatoes and slices of orange. For $37 I thought it was a little pricey. Its probably too pay for the renovations because the view is blocked by trucks and machinery in front of the windows and balcony. The gelato was an ample size, in fact it was big enough for 2 people. There really is no service as you order at the counter and they just bring it to you. The mocktails were very nice as well. Its a lovely club with a stunning bar but just a little too pricey I think. The views will be lovely once the machinery goes Im sure.

Manmaruya Japanese BBQ Restaurant - NSW

Alex This is an honest hidden gem, one which Im surprised I never have to line up for a table. They consistently serve very high quality quality meat for the bbq and have a fantastic range of Japanese eats. All with very generous portion sizes and very reasonable prices. Wait staff are always checking your table if there is something to be done and the beer on tap is a cherry on top of the whole dining experience! Ive been coming in for many years and will continue to be my favourite JAP BBQ venue.

Crown Dragon Restaurant - NSW

Jimmy Pan We recently had our belated Chinese New Year family dinner at Crown Dragon in Kogarah. It’s one of our regular spots for family gatherings and always a place we enjoy coming back to. The food is consistently good, the service is usually great, and the atmosphere is always lively and upbeat, perfect for big family meals. It was quite busy tonight and they had run out of pippis, but the team kindly suggested a scallop dish instead, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. Always a reliable place for a great meal and a fun family catch-up.

Ramsgate Beach House - NSW

Oberonian We have riden past this eatery many, many times and today it was the end point of our bicycle ride from Sydenham station. We were very pleased that they could accommodate the eight of us at a table. A beautiful location and view over Botany Bay. We had coffees, a Cherry Muffin, Almond Apple Croisant, Caramel Milk Shake. Everyone was delighted with their choices, especially the Almond Apple Croisant!. We will stop here more often instead of riding past in future. If you are in the area, or want a great atmosphere and wide selection of food and drinks, try this place out. Thanks Ramsgate Beach House

The Shack - NSW

Enfield Down Under Just checked out this cafe today and it’s awesome! They have fresh breads and organic chips on the shelves, I grabbed a bread for myself and it was super fresh. The food is really good and healthy, and the menu has lots of tasty options. The staff were super friendly and everything felt really well-kept. There are some chickens in the back and tons of beautiful flowers around, which makes the place feel really cozy. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area!

Beirut Bites - NSW

Joseph Sukkar Delicious authentic lebanese food. Ordered many things off the menu, cold mezze and hot mezze and the grilled plate (spent approx $200 there) and the food did not disappoint.

Yemendi Restaurant - NSW

thasinul alavi I recently visited Yamandi and honestly had a great experience from start to finish. The first thing that stood out to me was the traditional atmosphere. The interior design is beautiful — wooden frames, Arabic-style shelves, antique metal pots, lanterns, and patterned furniture. It really feels like a cultural and heritage-inspired restaurant, not just a regular place to eat. The decoration creates a very warm and inviting vibe, and it makes you enjoy the meal even more. I ordered the Lamb Shank Mandi, and it was delicious. The lamb was soft, tender, and full of flavour. You can tell it has been cooked slowly because the meat comes off the bone easily. The rice was light and well-seasoned, not oily, and the portion size was generous. The chicken piece that came with it was also tasty, with a nice roasted flavour and colour. Altogether, the dish felt very comforting and satisfying. I would definitely order it again. The service at Yamandi was also very good. The staff were polite, welcoming, and quick to serve. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Even during busy times, they kept the tables clean and managed the customers nicely. The overall environment made the experience even better. The heritage décor, the Middle Eastern vibe, and the calm seating arrangement all created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can sit comfortably, have a good meal, and also take photos because the interior is beautiful. For anyone who enjoys Mandi, Arabic food, or simply wants a unique dining experience, I would definitely recommend Yamandi. The food is tasty, the portions are good, the service is friendly, and the environment has a special charm. A very satisfying visit overall.
