Roza Noka I’d like to share a recent experience that really showed the difference good customer service makes.
During a busy concert night, I visited a nearby ice cream shop and spent around $30 on ice cream. When I asked for a few empty cups, I was charged $2.50 each, which felt unreasonable. By that point, the ice cream was already packed and I had no choice but to accept it.
I then went to a nearby casual street food / fish and chips shop and ordered a snack pack for $20.90. The food was generous and good quality, but what really stood out was the service. I politely asked for four empty cups and even offered to pay — the staff member kindly gave them to me without charging anything. I insisted, and he still refused.
While waiting, I noticed how friendly and respectful the staff were with all customers, even when people asked for extras. As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years, I can honestly say this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a casual venue in Australia.
Well done to the team — this is real hospitality.
