4 /5 Kerrin Henderson: Nice spot to look over Barraba. When I visited the area was well maintained and clean. There is a picnic table and electric BBQ under cover. You will need to bring your own water and the lookout is up a set of stairs and path. The entrance is not well signposted. The driveway is single lane and unsealed. The surrounding land is private property.
4 /5 Colleen Halls: It was a bit hard to find the turn off to lookout suggest a bigger sign, but once we found it it was a great view
4 /5 Campbell Docherty: Nice views over the town. Gravel road that any car should be able to drive up. Small turning circle at top. Has a BBQ and a table with one seat.
5 /5 Monika Spasova: Amazing view. Something we wish we knew earlier was that there is actually a free ferry going to the location since its a bit away from the city separated be water only. Very cool that it has both inside and outside option to gaze the city from. Cool interactive panels that tell you the story of the city.
5 /5 Ingrid Horsburgh: Great view of area including Mount Kapatir
Barbecues, chairs and tables. Cover.
Stanley R a Winnie Bay is a hidden coastal spot between Copacabana and Avoca Beach, known for its rugged beauty and secluded atmosphere. This peaceful bay is framed by dramatic cliffs and striking rock formations that give it a wild, untamed feel. Its the perfect spot for those who enjoy exploring rock pools or simply want to soak in the natural beauty of the area. Although it requires a short trek to reach, the untouched charm of Winnie Bay is worth every step. You can access it via a dirt track near the water tower on Cape Three Points Road in Avoca or from Del Monte Place in Copacabana. Both paths are well signposted and part of the scenic 5 Lands Walk.
Alan Huynh Beautiful landmark that oversees the waters surrounding Botany Bay and Malabar beach. Really beautiful to look at surrounded by fresh grass. It’s situated in an ideal place for sunset views and to see people taking their wedding pictures. Highly recommend visiting La peruse. You’ll also see a lot of cyclists, car enthusiasts and motorists in the area because it’s a nice place to just chill out and hang around. You can get there via bus and there are also toilets and a bubbler in the area
Jigar Jethwani Great park for a walk in the morning or evening. However, they dont turn on the lights after sunset or during dark. Path is really good, almost a kilometer long. There is a kid playground as well and many water bubblers along the way. It even has a washroom, and ample parking along all the sides of park. Indeed, a very well maintained park.
Em Great park with lots of open space! Also has plenty of parking and a really good-looking play area. And, around the park, theres a path, so you can ride a bike or run.
Trollie What a great park. Water play. Wheel chair accessible. Large format allows children to be free while being in a fenced area as the dogs play nearby.
A long awaited upgrade that looks great and will be great for the kids for years to come. Bathrooms and Bbqs have not been forgotten in the upgrade either.
Getting locked out of the car here was not an issue Access Now Newcastle was there to help in no time. Number attached if anyone needs it.
