1 /5 Kimberley Finch: For my first time at this salon, I went in with a reference picture and a clear idea of what I wanted - a warm brown balayage with specifically no orange and no harsh lines. Service was fine at first but when my hair was drying the front pieces were extremely orange, giving a ‘tiger stripe’ look (I have attached a photo for reference). I said I wasn’t happy with the colour and showed the reference photo again, but both staff members said they couldn’t do anything about it for a week. I came back a week later to have it fixed. Both staff members spoke to me, with Lorena trying to tell me that she heard me request how my front pieces currently looked, taking my request for ‘face framing pieces’ out of context as I requested them in terms of length to cut and not colour. None of their options to fix my hair seemed to want to actually help me achieve my desired hair results, but rather a quick fix that wouldn’t inconvenience them. I stated that I was happy with majority of the colour and did not want that darkened, just wanted the front pieces fixed. Once I agreed on one option, minimal care was taken with me. I was not given an apron, Anna did not take any care with brushing my hair - seeming to rip some of it, my treatment was applied harshly and the final product was not even dry when I was told I was finished. When Anna asked how I liked the new colour, I said that the front pieces were much better but she had darkened my hair substantially (almost looking back to its original colour and rendering the first balayage job that I had paid for useless). She laughed and said “are you serious” in a sarcastic tone to this and walked away telling me I was done despite my hair not being dry. I walked to the counter to thank them and Anna insisted that I had to pay for the fixing service, even though she told me during my first visit that she would fix it for me. She became increasingly frustrated, eventually getting up and telling me extremely rudely to get out and never come back. I cannot believe that this circumstance - where the customer was calmer and nicer than the service provider - occurred, as I thanked Anna during every step and even tried to make conversation. I will not be coming back here ever and do not recommend anyone to employ the service of blossoming hair studio. Clearly Anna did not know how to get my hair to the desired result and she should’ve communicated that to me in the first place.
