1 /5 Maya Russell: Sadly a very disappointing experience, or lack thereof I should say. I had planned to take my elderly grandmother here as she had always wanted to visit. I emailed with one of the staff via the email they have listed on their website in the week leading up to it, confirming they would be open. My has a lot of trouble leaving the house as she is very frail and it was a 40 minute drive to bring her here. We came all the way and she was so excited, just to find that they were closed. It did not list that it was closed online or anywhere. I did expect to possibly receive an email from the staff I had been speaking with via email to let me know they would actually be closed as I had been told otherwise, and had let them know that I would be attending, but I received no communication.
This I would have been okay with, but when I called their phone number on arrival the woman I spoke to was very rude. I explained the situation and that they had not announced anywhere that they would be closed (must have been a last minute decision) and that I had travelled 40 minutes with my elderly grandmother to come visit. The woman did not care whatsoever, and seemed extremely bothered and irritated that I had called. No apology or anything. Extremely rude and annoyed tone. Completely ruined the day and we were so upset.
If you had needed to close because of weather that is completely understandable, but you need to work on how you speak to potential customers/visitors and not be so rude to people.
