C P Beautiful to visit in September when it is blooming. You can feel the heritage of the place which is rare. The toilets at the chapel were locked during our visit. Great for lawn picnics by the river.

Rouse Hill Estate - NSW

Sarah Magsino My favourite of the Museums of History because it just isn’t one building. Being an estate provides a better experience of the past and the fact that 6 generations continually lived in the home, also provides glimpses of how society changed over time. The expansive site has lots to explore. Loved the concept of preservation rather than restoration and the different characteristics of the various buildings. Walking down the old Windsor road was truly like stepping back in time. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful and took time to explain the history of not only the estate but the Rouse family and the area in general. After visiting the buildings we took a wander through the old farm area and garden and sat down to enjoy the view and cool breeze. It’s really a lovely place to bring the family as there is something for everyone - even a Lego room! Ample parking on site. There is a fair bit of walking required to reach the buildings, so wear comfy shoes and allocate enough time to explore.

Old Government House - NSW

Asad Shairani Very nice window into the history of Parramattas colonial past. The house has been well preserved and the surrounding courtyards and gardens are really nice. The whole location within Parramatta Park is really great. However, the entrance fee at $15 and $12 (for kids) is a bit steep for what it is.

Crestwood Parks - NSW

Rob Horvat Great kids play park in Baulkham hills/castle hill area. Play area is fenced off which is great and plenty of room for kids to walk around & stretch there legs . Plenty of shade which is esp good on hot days. A water park & additional swings would be a great add . Amenities….. toilet blocks are located on the other side of the park near the dog park I think Park also has other facilities like tennis courts, skate park , footy oval, picnic area & gym equipment. There’s also a liberty swing which is great

JinHee KWON If youre looking for a light hike without traveling far, this place is perfect. However, I would not recommend visiting after it rains, as the dense forest creates many shades areas where the ground remains quite damp.
