Davidson Park to Stepping Stone Crossing walk - NSW

Sachith Weligepola Nice calming walk. Not many people in the walk. We followed Google Maps but we ended up in a dead end after about 3 km so we had to turn back. You have to purchase a ticket fpr entry (I forgot how much exactly). It had rained the previous day so it was muddy in some areas. But overall I loved the walk!

Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden - NSW

Barney Solomon I love this little volunteer maintained park in the heart of the northern beaches. Its one of my favorite places to take a lunch break and have a quiet walk. I would think on the weekends it may get a little busy, but during the week it usually quiet and peaceful. The tracks are easy to navigate with lots of interesting plants. Theres a gaggle of brush turkeys that live there and theres a good chance youll be visited by a kookaburra or two if your having a bite to eat. Its always a couple of degrees cooler in the park amongst the trees in summer. Plenty of seating and there are bubblers and toilets. A great place to visit !

Dee Why Lagoon Wildlife Refuge - NSW

Melissa Adams A beautiful spot located in between Dee Why Beachfront and Long Reef Beachfront an easy two to five minute Oceanside walk from either main car parks. Absolutely breathtaking in the sunset with cool trees to sit on and usually sports a decent swell too (for the budding surfers). Overall, a lush location nestled within Sydneys’ Northern Beaches leading into gorgeous bush walks with stunning views that is well worth checking out.

Darvall Park - NSW

Sun Joy Darvall Park is a hidden gem in the suburbs, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the Ryde. The park is well-maintained, with lush greenery, tall eucalyptus trees, and plenty of open space for relaxation. One of the highlights of Darvall Park is its walking trails, which are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a refreshing jog. The trails wind through beautiful bushland, making it a great spot for nature lovers and bird watchers. There’s also a playground for kids and picnic areas with benches, making it an ideal place for families to enjoy a day outdoors. While the park is generally quiet and serene, it can get a bit muddy after rain, so wearing proper footwear is recommended. Parking is available nearby, but it might be limited during peak hours. Overall, Darvall Park is a wonderful place to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy some fresh air. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk or a picnic spot, this park is definitely worth a visit.
