Hyde Park Barracks - NSW

Katie BC Had 1 day in Sydney and came with our 2 girls (age 7 &9) to give them a bit of history before going to other less historical attractions. This place is amazing, I came years ago and its very much upgraded since then. Its completely free and they give you headphones which detects your location and talks you through all the history as you move through the rooms. So interesting, it really brings the stories to life. We had to rush round a bit due to having so much on the agenda but could have spent a while there. The staff were also lovely!

Gardens of Many Nations - NSW

Syed Umar Ahmed **Review for Garden of Many Nations** I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Garden of Many Nations, and it was an enchanting experience that exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this garden is a true testament to the beauty and diversity of global horticultural practices. As soon as I entered, I was captivated by the meticulously designed landscapes that represent various countries around the world. Each section of the garden is dedicated to a different nation, showcasing its unique flora, architectural styles, and cultural elements. The attention to detail is remarkable, making each transition between areas feel like a journey to a new land. The Japanese garden, with its tranquil ponds and elegantly pruned bonsai trees, was a personal favorite. The serene ambiance, coupled with the delicate cherry blossoms, provided a perfect spot for reflection and relaxation. Similarly, the vibrant colors and intricate patterns in the Moroccan garden transported me to a lively souk, full of life and energy. What truly sets the Garden of Many Nations apart is its commitment to education and cultural exchange. Informative plaques and interactive displays offer insights into the history and significance of the plants and designs in each section. This educational aspect enriches the visit, making it not just a visual delight but also a learning experience. The garden is impeccably maintained, and the staff are both knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to share interesting facts and assist with any queries. The pathways are well-marked and accessible, ensuring a comfortable visit for everyone. In conclusion, the Garden of Many Nations is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates nature, culture, and the artistry of garden design. Whether youre a seasoned gardener or just looking for a peaceful retreat, this garden offers something for everyone. Its a beautiful celebration of global diversity and a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I highly recommend a visit to this extraordinary garden.

Upamali Dharmasena My friend and I booked in for the guided tour and had the best time! The guides are knowledgeable and they make it fun! If you get a good group, and if you are into stars and planets, trust me and book the tour :) seeing Jupiter through the telescope was a core memory! I wish they offered more views with the telescopes, it’s only a small part of the tour. Overall though, it was a beautiful memory. Would recommend.

Preeti The key highlight for us was the small playground area for children, perfect for age 4 and above. After some serious climbing up and sliding down, we enjoyed a quick picnic next to the river. Shops and restaurants nearby.
