1 /5 Max Norton: I have had two very contrasting experiences here. Unfortunately the more recent visit was so bad that I wont be returning despite my first positive experience.
The first time I had my hair cut by a Japanese man who gave me a great cut, had just the right amount of good chat and listened to what I wanted and spent time getting it right. I was skeptical of trying a new place closer to work as I have quite a modern cut but he really delivered well.
The most recent visit was awful. It sounds very similar to some of these other reviews - it was the guy closest to the door with an english accent. He seemed to be spaced out of his mind and spent all of 8-9 minutes cutting my hair. By cutting I mean mostly used the clippers then with about 3-4 brisk strokes of the scissors he managed to cut my hair on top to a 3rd of what it was despite me saying keep all the length on top, just thin it out slightly". No thinning, no slight attempt at blending etc.
My hair is really thick but takes ages to get length. I was hoping to grow it out more on top so cheers mate you just set me back another 6 months.
Its disappointing as I read reviews before I went the first time and they were all good. I dont usually write reviews but this still roughs me up days later and Im obviously not the only person that has had this sort of experience lately.
