1 /5 Li Trista: Paid $56 for the "shampoo cut and blow dry" service. Definitely NOT recommended.
First, "shampoo" - Most places wash your hair twice and then condition your hair. The guy who served me only wash my hair once. My mum had the lady who washed her hair twice, so maybe my hair was too clean. When he did the conditioner, he only did the ends of my hair, so not the roots and didnt touch my scalp.
Second, "cut" - The guy asked me the length I wanted, not how I would like it done. I thought to myself, maybe its the language? Then I told him how long and continued to explain how I would like my hair cut, including having a bit of layers, but he already went to grab the scissors. He put his hand at the length I wanted and confirm if thats the length. So I nodded but I was suspicious because I also wanted layers. Then he cut at the length so I knew it would not be good. He cut the length I want, thinned it here and there, then started blow-drying. No hairstyling when he cut. When he cut, he had the hair on top of my head so they dropped back into my hair. He cut like anyone could have done at home with not much skills. I attached a photo so if you know hair, you should understand whats wrong with it all.
He spent a significant amount of time to blowdry and there wasnt much to comment on.
For $56 (apparently 20% off), I expected more than this. This is something I would expect if I pay $30 for. And for what was done, it is not even possible to fix it ourselves at home. So my plan is to visit another hairdresser in a month so there is some length for them to work on. Extra cost on top of what I have already paid.
