Pearly nails and cosmetics tattoo - Mona Vale (NSW)

1 /5 Melina Eddarai: I have a beauty therapist diploma but do not practice anymore due to my career change. I do have regular manicure and pedicures which I prefer since I don’t enjoy doing my nails myself. On the 5th May 2025 I treated myself at Pearly Mona Vale. My 3rd experience here. The first two times I found the staff to be rude but I didn’t care too much since the nails were okay. However on 5th of May, my experience was torture. I complained about having to wait 45 minutes since I was told I would have to wait 15 minutes and it was game over. The practitioner was aggressive cutting into my nail cuticles stabbing the sensitive skin several times. I kept pulling my feet away to show her how painful it was, to which she became increasingly more aggressive. The two practitioners were cutting into the skin on my feet and hands while filing. Then one of the practitioners put exfoliant on my feet and legs then massaged aggressively with hot rocks on the exfoliant particles grazing my skin causing extreme discomfort. Both practioners said they were busy because someone didn’t show up at work and they had too much to do that day. They were rough, rude, argumentative and inhospitable. Constantly speaking in a foreign language and displaying hostile behaviour. Don’t go here, if you complain, you will suffer the consequences.

1 /5 Snezana Kovacevic: Horrible experience. Worst nails ever three days with shellac and peeling already. The man, not sure if the owner was so rude and disrespectful raised his voice cause I asked for a scrub with the Gillette. My heels hadnt been done for a year and the skin was so thick I wanted it shaved off. I asked for a scrub with Gillette and he raised his voice in a aggressive manner. Will never step foot in that salon again. Awful I will never go back. I suffer from PTSD and this shattered me. These people have to stop being rude in nail shops. I was talking to a lady about it and she said the same happened to her with the male owner. She now goes to Balgowlah and drives all that way to get the service she wants. The other staff were fine I think they are embarrassed by his behaviour.

5 /5 Jeni Morris: I had a normal manicure/ pedicure at Mona Vale on Friday at 3pm, and I’m so happy with the time taken and great results from the young girl, whose name I’ve forgotten. I even knocked one of my fingernails and she totally redid it. She stayed with me the whole time, so I was able to walk out with dry nails just over an hour later. Thanks Pearly nails.

1 /5 eva meland: Unbelievably rude staff. It’s like coming to a prison not a nail salon. Short, brusque, shove you around. Any mistake they make is your fault. I’ve been coming for years, and still I’m treated like dirt.

1 /5 Sue Donaldson: If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a 10am appointment for a pedicure. Arrived at 9.57 to find shop closed and no one around. As their website said opens at 9.30 I called the number to make sure they were opening. Male who answered was very rude and aggressive, said well be there by 10 and hung up on me. Car pulled up right on 10 and in I go. I suggested maybe they should update their website as it says 9.30 opening. Same man I spoke to on the phone starts shouting at me and looked like he was ready to punch me. I was sitting and he was standing over me yelling. 2 other people trying to push him away from me ( Im 67 by the way) Other man who had remained very calm then says we wont be giving you pedicure today. What the!!!!! I told him I have a prepaid voucher, he says show me the voucher. I got the voucher out ( Id received at Xmas 2021). He looks at voucher and says already expired even though it clearly shows 2024 as expiry but he insists its a 2 not a 4, and its now illegal to issue vouchers with only 6 months validity. DO NOT USE THIS SALON. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL
