West Head Lookout - (NSW)

5 /5 Mauricio Hughes: Went for a ride to West Head the other day—what a spot. Twisty roads with stunning views all the way, especially near the lookout. The road’s a bit narrow in places, so take it easy and enjoy the scenery. Definitely worth the ride.

5 /5 Madison Kingsly: Breathtaking to say the least, this point offers a panoramic view spanning from Gosford to Mona Vale (there is a metal 3D topographical map) telling you what you’re looking out at. There are loads of seats for you to sit and enjoy the serenity with some of the wilderness (wild turkey), but most exciting are the trails that lead from this point. I would recommend the ‘west head beach’ train which is a decline down to the close beach and then a steep uphill back to the look out point. I’d say kids might get tired and not suitable to elderly people. Also it can be crowded especially during the afternoon and the trail isn’t wide enough to commodore coming and going traffic. But would say it’s a fun activity if you’re already at the look out to trail down to the beach. In means of parking you didn’t get the 12$ day car pass (you won’t miss the booth because the route to get to West head you’ll come across it) you will have to pay for parking. Other than that the view was splendid and I had a fantastic time with the family down at the beach and hiking up.
