McBride Andrew “How good is food !!!” Found this spot after a quick Google search while in the area—and I’m glad I did.
Parking was easy, and I was served quickly, which is always a good start.
With a hankering for some good, simple, honest fish and chips, I went straight for the “Sydney’s Best Beer Battered Fish and Chips.” The fish of the day was NZ hake, and the meal came in at $16.50.
What arrived was a nicely cooked, lightly battered piece of fish—perfect for a rainy day. And of course, it came with a solid hit of chicken salt, as it should.
The food was great and the service friendly. My only small comment would be that the texture of the fish was just slightly dry, which made me wonder if it had been previously frozen—but that’s being picky.
I’d definitely come back to try more from the menu.
Highly recommended for a quick, satisfying fish and chips fix
