Abby McCutcheon The absolute cutest vibe and atmosphere. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly. The interior is gorgeous, coastal and light and the outside balcony is so open and lovely. The food is all delicious, especially the carrots, sashimi, prawns and lamb shoulder. At one point there was a cockatoo swinging around a sign and all the guests stopped to watch and laugh. It was such a warm atmosphere and a gorgeous place to eat. It also had an extensive wine list with descriptions of the wines.

nz146 It was an half hour wait for our food but it was delicious. Best classic omelette we have ever had and classic Burger was very amazing my partner loved it. It was worth the wait. The cafe was super busy and no wonder there was a que. definitely coming back this weekend before we go back.

Camille Oliver We had a wonderful dinner at this charming French bistro in the upper Northern Beaches. The entrées of escargot and seared scallops were beautifully prepared and full of flavour. For the mains, the venison was perfectly cooked and tender, while the duck confit was rich and succulent. Dessert didn’t disappoint either — the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée were simple yet absolutely delicious. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. A lovely spot for anyone who enjoys authentic French cuisine and great service.

Cameron Lindsay Have been coming to Sunset Diner for a long time now, finally getting around to leaving a review. I’ve eat in with the kids but normally I’m in a bit of a rush so it’s a takeaway burger by the beach with an ocean view. I’ve only ever eaten the Katsu Chicken, had it the first time I came here and I order it every single time with a side of fries. That fresh Ginger on the Katsu just takes it to another level (sorry my picture doesn’t do the burger justice). The katsu is always crispy and full of flavour. It’s probably my favourite chicken burger, even burger overall on the Beaches. Now the fries don’t disappoint either, always a huge serve overflowing from the bowl they are served in and nice and light a fluffy with a generous helping of salt to make you want more. Kids always smash their burgers or dogs too. Definitely stop in if you find yourself in Av!

Ficelle Gastro Best chicken on the northern beaches! Juicy , tasty and the skin is delicious. We had some fries which are, i think, precooked then cooked . So crispy inside and fluffy inside ( the red sauce is to die for!) The restaurant is also colorful and the owner and waiters are really nice. It’s a big yes for us!

Robs Con My husband and I had a wonderful evening last night at “the love food kitchen”. The food was fresh, tasty and absolutely delicious. I especially loved my beetroot and walnut and cashew salad. We finished with the baklava which was too divine! The service was quick and friendly and I would highly recommend this little Restuarant if you getting together with a group of friends for a couple and want to share a few delicious plates.

Pragati Ghimire I just really love the place and the food. I recommend you must visit it. It’s really best place to spend your time with good food. Panner tikka, okra fries, vegetable korma is the popular and delicious for vegetarians. Just love the customer service and good food quality too.

John Lannen The experience was awesome. I loved the food!! The staff went way and beyond. My dining experience was fantastic. 10/10. Can’t complain about one thing. Keep up the great work. If I ever visit Avalon Beach again - ‘I Shall Return!!’

C W A true sign of quality and good vibes - this place is always busy. The reason why is that the food is great, the service is fast and the location is awesome. You can swim at the beach and then chill at this cafe afterwards. Excellent bacon & egg rolls but keep those yolks runny please!
