Minh Chau OK, so if you want to have BBQ meats in Eastwood then this is the place to visit. However, they also do the seafood really well so tonight we decided to give that a go. The crab dish came wrapped in a gigantic lotus leaf in a bamboo steamer. The crab was flavourful, succulent and sweet and the glutinous rice soaked in the crab juices. Service was swift. Bookings are recommended. Edit: Came back to try their set menu with lobster (ginger and shallots style). It was cooked just as well as at any other Cantonese restaurant. Great value and delicious.

Tim Lu One of the most authentic HK food you can find in Sydney. Really like their congee and stir fried beef noodles. Portion is standard Asian size and price is fair, especially for lunch deals. Decor is a bit old, and the service can sometimes make you feel like you are truly in Hong Kong, wait times can be long occasionally too. But it still deserves the 5* just for the food alone.

J Kim Yang Tz River Eastwood has the most delicious Korean style Chinese food in Sydney. That is so fresh and tasty. Everything I have ordered has been superb and there is true value for money. All the staff are so friendly. If more than 3-4 people, please try the “course menu” You wont be disappointed! and also cheaper as well.

M Fernando Had a lovely experience dining at the restaurant. Service and food all run by students who did a great job. Sure there can be improvements, but all that is fed back to the student chefs who come to you table at the end to talk about the meals which is great. A really lovely set menu and good selection of drinks. A great initiative to support students and also a real life practice environment for them to learn from. Well done!

Jenna Stopped by Midway Shopping Centre and stumbled across this gem! The charcoal chicken smell was fantastic, so I couldnt resist having lunch there. The charcoal chicken was delicious—tender and full of flavour. The Prego burger was absolutely top-notch, and the combination of flavours was amazing. The chips were crispy and clearly fried in clean oil.

Anna My partner and I came here for a late night dinner and it was delicious! Hit the spot perfectly and definitely made me wanting more. The serving sizes were very generous and the menu had a good selection. Definitely recommend!

Naz Amini We celebrated a family gathering at Nikan Persian Restaurant yesterday with a group of 25 people, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The hospitality was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and incredibly organised. The staff handled our large group effortlessly and made everyone feel welcome and well cared for throughout the entire meal. The food was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with authentic Persian flavour. The rice was perfectly cooked, the kebabs were tender and delicious, and the variety on the table made it feel like a true Persian feast. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and generous in portion. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both amazing food and impeccable service, especially for a group this size, but Nikan did it flawlessly. Our whole family left happy, full, and talking about how wonderful the experience was. Highly recommend for family gatherings, celebrations, or anyone wanting a true taste of Persian cuisine.
