2 /5 Jace Yan: When I first started dining out in Eastwood, the very first restaurant I tried was Pho Gia Hoi. Unfortunately, that experience was shocking—my bowl of rare beef Phở noodle soup came with insects inside. The waiting staff were unfriendly, more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers. After that, I avoided the restaurant for a year, and I wasn’t surprised when it eventually closed down.
Thankfully, Eastwood offers plenty of other dining choices. Over the years, I explored many restaurants in town. One option I found was Pho Co Eastwood, which is convenient for a quick meal or casual dinner at a budget price. It’s especially handy if you’ve just finished shopping at the local market, since you can dine in with a trolley. The dishes are simple—neither outstanding nor disappointing. Be aware they add a 1.5% surcharge for credit card payments. A porcelain cat waves to you at the counter when you pay, which adds a quirky touch to the experience.
