5 /5 Daithí Kilcourse: A very nice reserve with so much to do. A lot of walks to do and dogs are allowed on a leash. There are kids play areas here with great ammenities here. Nice clean toilets and wash areas here. A nice river with ducks and other native birds in the area. There are a lot of areas to go for a swim and relax.
5 /5 Lauren Murphy: The Hobbit Hounds (rescued greyhound owners group) meet up every Sunday to walk our gorgeous dogs through the park. This is a very family friendly park with lots of things for the kids and adults to do sitting on the Woronora River.
There are tracks from the playground up into the sanctuary for a lovely easy bush walk.
5 /5 Sharon Mysmile: Busy playground area that can host up to 10 kids parties at one time. No Cafe though. Toilets and park are both clean, down by the water.
5 /5 Daniel Hynes: A great place to meet up with friends and family for a bbq or some fishing. Area has some beautiful scenery and a great playground for the kids. It is also a great place to walk the the dog. The area also has amenities such as sheltered tables, a boat ramp and toilet block.
jena rogers If you are coming to Lightning Ridge take the time to go to the Bore Baths.
The temperature has been between 35⁰ and 40⁰ in the pools and is truly amazing. Works amazing after a big day or an amazing start to your day too
Mr. M These are the second last rapids before the Wonorora River flows into the Engadine Lagoon. The whole area is very shallow, so you might have to carry-around. Drop height is about .5 m, there is a safe way to carry your boat around on the eastern side of the rapids. Dropping the boat downstream is easy, pleanty of room there.
annie z Beautiful board walk under the bridge. Its difficult to find the first time as theres no signage but easy once you know. Best place to park is towards the end of Oakwood Street. The walk starts at the end of the street were the road narrows into bike/pedestrian only. The path goes along the main road for about 10 minutes, then it will lead you to the boardwalk under the bridge.
You can also park on Prince Edward Park Rd but this way requires going up a lot of stairs. The stairs start at the end of Prince Edward Park Rd thats towards Menai Rd. The stairs will lead you up to the main road and then toward the boardwalk.
Natcha Siripin Very stunning view ! This is more for people who love trekking and hiking as the route can be very long. Please do not give up when you get to the wedding cake view point because if you walk a bit further you will see the hidden beach (I dont remember the name but it is very pretty)
Alice Moon-Star Very beautiful area to walk. Tranquil beaches, small forest, good wharf with ferry to Cronulla and a cute town centre with cafes and a small supermarket. When it’s busy car parks can be hard to find. Also there are toilets here.
Sachith Weligepola WOW! I went on a bit of a rainy day (it was sunny at first but then drizzled a bit) and it was amazing! The gloomy vibe added extra beauty to this already-beautiful walk. I did the loop track.
Camila Silva Amazing place, you can sit down at the bottom part, where the waves hit the rock wall, be careful not to go too close, as you can get very wet and the rocks are slippery. You can simply sit down, away from the edge, enjoy the sound of the waves crashing and the spectacular view of the ocean and the cliff.
Zhou Chris (岛里意气) I met the renowned painter Mr Shen Jiawei who is really easygoing and passionate about his work in his studio. His series of work the Babel Tower is astounding.
