Cape Banks Walking Track - La Perouse (NSW)

5 /5 Trang Tram: Beautiful walk along the coast. Plenty of parking and cafes and restaurant at the start/end of the walk in Le Perouse for a relaxing meal.

5 /5 Spa Engine: Was a strenuous and fun walk. It was interesting seeing the old bunkers used to protect Sydney during the war. I thought it a bit weird and actually risky having to walk through the golf course while golfers hit balls overhead.

5 /5 Simon D: A definite on your itinerary if you are visiting Sydney. If you are feeling energetic then start off with the Henry Head walking track on Anzac Parade before joining the Cape Banks track. Amazing few hours on quite contrasting landscapes. Start and finish points will be different so if you have your own transport you will need to add an extra leg at the start or the finish.

5 /5 Theo Chapman: Well signed gently undulating walk that goes through eucalypt woodland and along the coast, passing old gun emplacements. We did the 4km stretch from Congwong Beach to Cape Banks Edge. The track surface varies from soft sand to compacted sand with roots and rocks to boardwalk. The views are spectacular. It’s well worth doing. There is free 4 hour parking but it can be busy on the weekends.

5 /5 My Nguyen: It was a beautiful track along the rocks which took about 20, and can be muddy in some places. The clouds were hiding the sun set. Theres even a shipwreck. The return path probably took 10.
