The Gold Rush Antique store is likely the nicest and most authentic antique store in the blue mountains, and with it’s beautiful host: is an amazing experience itself. The short bush walk down the River Lett and the other near the Tor Rock is phenomenal. The aboriginal history transforms your perspective from the town of the 1800s to the native landscape Millenia past. I would highly recommend taking the time to visit this site, there’s free Quoits to play too!

South Australia Drive slowly. Very narrow single lane driving for most of the road. If you see a car coming towards you find a part of the road that is dual road. Blind corners, BEEP YOUR HORN because sound goes around blind corners. Your horn can warn other drivers of your presents. Besides the driving challenges you will be rewarded by fantastic world class views on both sides of this NARROW NECK of LAND. The wind rushes up the mountains making Drone Flying hard. Closed for road repairs, new shining metal safety fences replace wooden guide posts. DONT RUSH THIS INCREDIBLE NATURAL BEAUTY.

Vanessa If you get the chance to do the Heritage tour, I will definitely recommend it with Mark. The tour was great very informative and went for about three hours. Beware, there are a lot of flies. Certain areas you cannot enter without an aboriginal your guide. They have a guided track which you must stick to at all times.

Rachelle C Foo A beautiful spot with great vista views, a stunning waterfall, even in the low season where the waterfall is not big. It was a bit busy but still easy enough to navigate the walking track with others.

Ben Keen Unbelievable place to visit. In exceptionally good condition, unlike other historical places you can actually walk right through the shearing shed.

McDonald Gordon “Hawkesbury” To build up an appetite or to walk your food off afterwards, take a stroll along Wingecarribee River walking track, which begins and ends at Cecil Hoskins picnic area. The track is a short easy walk that’s flat with few obstacles and no stairs, so it’s ideal for all age groups. The track takes you west along the river past Bong Bong weir, then loops back through regenerating forest on Wingecarribee floodplain. You’ll see various types of eucalypts as you follow this walking track, including the less well-known gums, like snow, swamp, black sallee and manna eucalypt trees. Keep your binoculars in easy reach for birdwatching. Through the forest, you may see woodland birds such as white-throated needletails, welcome swallows and spotted pardalote. Eastern grey kangaroos also inhabit the forest. And did you know you can find platypus shyly hiding in the lagoon?

Peter Sanders The sub-alpine walk was great with a mix of terrains, vegetation and fantastic rock structures. A mildly challenging climb to the summit, climbing over, through and between large boulders and a small length of chain to assist the last few metres. Worth the effort though. The dirt road in made for a cautious drive in from the main road, especially being in a low sitting car. Looking forward to doing it again.
