I have been a loyal client of Laser Clinics, regularly visiting both Westfield and Hornsby branches since 2016. Over the years, I’ve spent thousands of dollars on full body laser hair removal and even recommended your services to my partner.
Recently, we purchased a 6-session package and were treated using the machine in the left-side treatment room. After completing all six sessions, we saw no noticeable results whatsoever. It felt like our money and time had been completely wasted.
Interestingly, my partner had one session with the right-side room machine and experienced visible results after just that single treatment — confirming that the machine we were assigned (on the left side) was clearly ineffective.
I raised my concerns with staff and clearly requested that if I purchase any future packages, I do not want to be treated with the left-side machine again, given the lack of results. However, I was told they cannot guarantee or assign the right-side machine, and that I must continue with the same ineffective machine if I wish to proceed.
When I pointed out that my previous sessions delivered no result and my money was essentially wasted, I was told there is no guarantee of effectiveness, and they cannot take responsibility. This attitude is extremely disappointing, especially from a business that claims to provide professional services.
Under Australian Consumer Law, services must be provided with due care and skill, and must deliver results a reasonable consumer would expect for the amount paid. In this case, not only was the service ineffective, but the business also refused to offer flexibility, acknowledgment of the issue, or any form of resolution.
I urge Laser Clinics to:
• Reassess the performance of both machines and provide transparent information to clients.
• Acknowledge and act on legitimate client feedback.
• Offer fair solutions or compensation where services have failed to deliver.
This experience has broken my trust. I hope this feedback helps others make more informed choices.
