Mount Ettalong Lookout Pearl Beach - Pearl Beach (NSW)

5 /5 S Mac: Parking is limited. Walk in the bush to the lookout is easy and peaceful. Look out spots have gorgeous panoramic views! Just stunning. Saw some cute flowers on the way to two different spots that allowed us to take in the view. No tickets are required.

5 /5 Christopher Metcalfe: Gate is locked a good 15 minute walk need to be in reasonable fitness to walk trail lots of rocks and uneven surfaces on the way in. View is worth the walk 3 different areas to view scenes. Two have platforms. Nice walk through the bushland.

5 /5 Shi Zhang: we have trouble finding this place. probably the easy way to get here by Google map, is to tap your destination at the Water tower on Patonga Dr, where is about 200 meters before Pearl Beach Dr intersection if you come from Umina. better double-check the Water tower building by switching map to satellite type. the entry to water tower is very easy to miss, so you better slowdown after the sharp u turn from Mt Ettalong Rd into Patonga Dr (there is a small lookout at u turn place as well). around 14 car spaces here if people park their car nicely alongside the Water tower.

4 /5 Rob VanElven: Heard about this Lookout so decided to check it out at Sunrise. I parked the car near the water tower. When I got there the fence to firetrail was closed. Possibly during day you can drive a bit further if they open that fence and you have some clearance. From the water tower it is only a short walk, maybe 10 minutes to reach one of the two Lookouts. I went for the furthest one as I could see the Sunrise there. Unfortunately the actual Lookout platform was closed. It is easy to get a nice view from nearby rocks, so that is what I did. Nearby is another Lookout facing Pearl beach. If you want a more “natural” looking photo ( not including the fenced area), there are a few rocks nearby that give a nice foreground. One looks fairly precarious and dodgy to sit on, ( you know it when you see it), so I didn’t do that. Nice place to visit if you are in the area. Not much car park space near water tower. 4 stars because of the closed Lookout.

5 /5 George Fedorowicz: Great walk and fantastic views. Limited parking. Theres 3 lookout points. 10 to 15 minute walk max to the furthest point. Great photo opportunities. Worth the effort.
