Barrington Tops National Park - NSW

Simon Cowling Great place for a stay or just a bush walk. So good I brought the family back. Someone has to let people know that running a generator all night is not socially acceptable.

The Lakes of Cherrybrook - NSW

Rakesh Prasad Chaturvedi The Lakes of Cherrybrook form an interesting hub. The Macquarie Drive and Shepherd Drive junction lies  at one corner, with their respective bus stands on the parameter; The Callicoma Bush Walk passes through it.  Cherrybrook Village shopping centre and a petrol/ service station lie just across the road.  The Greenway Park- Community Centre and a dog park are within 200 metres. Yet, its a quaint area amidst tall trees; a grass belt separates the lakes from the road. A cemented walkway, benches, barbecue area, picnic tables, drinking fountain for humans and pets are imaginatively placed. A large childrens play area, still being further improved, lies just off the water body. Theres fair biodiversity. Ducks, fishes, birds, iguanas, and many variety of plants abound. The point is, accessibility is no problem, parking is no problem. Its a good transit halt for walkers... I often grab a sandwich and coffee from Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre and sit out leisurely in the Sun as part of my long walks. Ditto if I need to keep company to my grandchildren as their parents go grocery shopping at the Cherrybrook shopping centre. Its always a new experience in entertainment and learning. And a Joy!!

Refuge Rock - NSW

Lyle Stone It’s a nice walk out to refuge rock through the Scribbly Gums, though sturdy shoes are required because there are loose rocks along the track. Refuge Rock is a great spot to sit and relax and appreciate nature, or have a picnic. Lots of room for social distancing. It’s quite out in the open but there are some slightly shaded areas. The walk is very doable with kids if you’re willing and able to carry them part of the way.

Koala Park Sanctuary Sydney - NSW

Keith Roberts What a super little Animal Park. We visited early on a public holiday and the park was very quiet. It a an exceptionally clean, well organised establishment with keepers regularly in evidence. The are many trees and much general greenery that give an air of the countryside, unlike a conventional zoo. There are plenty of marsupials to see, as well as dingoes and many varieties of birds and Squamata. There is a petting area for lambs and goats as well as an area where visitors can interact directly with gentle Kangaroos. There is a cafe and clean toilet facilities. Id recommend this park to people of all ages who would like to learn about native Australian wildlife. Would certainly return for a second visit.

Callicoma Walk - NSW

VITAHOUSE HEALTH The walk is interesting. We have tried to walk up and down. We have found out that we were able to walk to Westleigh. It is amazing! It would take us 2-4 hours to complete the trip. Water is essential! We must carry sufficient water to last the entire trip.

Grasmere Childrens Playground - NSW

Teresa Lam I took my 2year old grandson there. He really enjoyed the 3 slides, including a bendy one. There are 2 low bridges that are so good for balance etc. The mushroom stools are a hit, as we pretended to have morning tea. Its reasonably shaded in the morning before 11am. Very clean. Will visit again.
