Wattamolla Falls - Royal Natl Park (NSW)

5 /5 Ravi Lal: The google map will take you through to the car park. There is enough parking for like 50 plus cars. We had no problem finding a car. You will go through a check point where you will pay to visit the national park. This fee is for a whole day so make use of it. There are toilet facilities available. Once you reach the car park just go to the left when going towards the toilets. I think during rainy season, there may be more water. I saw people playing with the sand and fishing at the opposite end of the falls. You can spend about good 30 minutes here. We later took a hike towards the eagle rocks and another waterfall along the coast. We enjoyed this place. There is no toilets along the bay except beside the car park.

3 /5 Jackie McMillan: (3.5 stars) In contrast to the relative quiet of Wattamolla Beach, the nearby lagoon of the same name, complete with waterfalls, is hectic! It’s gorgeous… so gorgeous that everyone from extended families to groups of teens take up residence on its central sandbar, creating a village of Cool Cabanas and beach umbrellas. The star attractions, apart from the calm green waters of the lagoon, are the cliffs overlooking it, that provide a stage of various heights for people to jump in from. It’s like a non-stop floor show, both entertaining and sometimes funny, with a hint of danger thrown in. The signs advising NO DIVING FROM THE CLIFFS were utterly ineffective. We brought some new inflatables with us, which the lagoon is perfect for, and lying in them watching the young and the young-at-heart hurl themselves from great heights into the water below kept us amused for quite a while. Points for style and size of splash were awarded between us. There’s picnic areas and BBQs nearby, toilets and change rooms, but sadly no showers. It was a bit busy for us, but we got why people came and loved it so much, as it is so darned beautiful.

5 /5 Shally Konjo: Been there at various seasons and seen the waterfalls and beach when water from the beach would fill into the lagoon at the bottom of the waterfall. At Wattamolla, you see the waterfall and beach at the same time. My eldest went crazy when she came for the first time, walking along the beach collecting shells and beach rocks. There are BBQ facilities there as well, so families can do BBQ and picnics. You are not allowed to jump from the waterfall into the lagoon for obvious safety reasons. Park rangers do patrol there from time to time for peoples safety.

5 /5 Linda Johnson: A lot of time and effort has gone into Wattamolla. Great spot for a picnic and beautiful beach. The water was pristine! Could see the bottom and it had that gorgeous green look to it. Great walks straight from the beach too. You could easily spend all day here. The toilets/showers were huge.
