5 /5 Kevin: It was my first visit to Antica, for a Saturday lunch, and it was wonderful.
The restaurant sits within a two storey house with its interior lovingly restored in an art deco style. The two of us were luckily arranged at at window facing table, with a view out to the leafy street.
We ordered the two course pranzo espresso, and in short, everything was perfect. Each dish was beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared, elements not overly complicated, ingredients tasted fresh, and on the palette it feels just right. Nothing less, and no need for more. The gnudi ricotta for example, lovely gooeyness with a delicate crust, the lightly fried sage adding a touch of the aromatic oils, and mixed in with the pomodoro sugo, the acidity paints yet another layer.
I wish to thank again each of the staff members who greeted and served us. Friendly, welcoming, professional, helpful, unintrusive, your fantastic service created a very memorable experience.
A final note, the drinks list is impressive, and the bar area is equally beautiful. Be sure to check it out.
