Matthew I was hesitant to try this restaurant because of the negative reviews but I’m glad I gave it a go. Within walking distance, I ordered for pick up and ready within 10 minutes. As a basic white male I got chicken pad see ew and thoroughly enjoyed it. Im sure it’s nothing amazing to authentic thai people but it does the job and fills the belly. Thanks will be back again soon.

Irene Budihardjo My best friend and I are regulars here. We normally have the hot and sour noodle soup. The prawn fried rice and cold sliced potato dish is quite nice. What we love about this place is that they are generous with fresh vegetables in their dishes.

Sammy Lau I love to come here for brekkie. Best price ever for a steak breakfast @$21.30 with flat white. Coffee is average but drinkable, brekkie is HK style and delicious. Customer service is not bad, just that they are too efficient and everything’s going rush in busy hours. Anyway it is recommended if you are looking for HK style cafe.

Dr Rahau Shirazi Friendly staff, good almond late! Food was fresh and tastes good but needs a bit of adjustment in water content! The location is great and easy free parking side of street right off a heavy road.

Stefan Sojka A We are regular diners at West Ryde Hotel, enjoying their fabulous food and pet-friendly outdoors area. Recently we dined there and my partner lost a ring of very high sentimental value. We didn’t realise it was lost until we got home later that night and went back on a mission to retrace all our steps from the Woolies carpark, up to Woolies and all the way to the pub. I got to the pub and Sophia was there cleaning up for the night. I told her we had been dining there earlier and my partner was devastated to have lost her ring. Sophia instantly handed the ring to me, saying she found it under our table and was hanging onto it hoping that we would come back looking for it. It was such a huge relief and has restored our faith in the younger generation, that Sophia was so honest and gracious and made sure that she could help us out when we returned. Thanks to Sophia for her professionalism and honesty - and thanks to West Ryde Hotel for consistently delivering over and above for your customers.

Lachlan Burnet Came here as a group for a work dinner and it was an excellent choice! The food really was top quality and the service was friendly to boot. The beautiful aroma hits you the second you walk in the door! The only small complaint was that the air conditioning was freezing! Other than this it was a wonderful experience. Cant wait to go back again!

Minh Chau OK, so if you want to have BBQ meats in Eastwood then this is the place to visit. However, they also do the seafood really well so tonight we decided to give that a go. The crab dish came wrapped in a gigantic lotus leaf in a bamboo steamer. The crab was flavourful, succulent and sweet and the glutinous rice soaked in the crab juices. Service was swift. Bookings are recommended. Edit: Came back to try their set menu with lobster (ginger and shallots style). It was cooked just as well as at any other Cantonese restaurant. Great value and delicious.

Tim Lu One of the most authentic HK food you can find in Sydney. Really like their congee and stir fried beef noodles. Portion is standard Asian size and price is fair, especially for lunch deals. Decor is a bit old, and the service can sometimes make you feel like you are truly in Hong Kong, wait times can be long occasionally too. But it still deserves the 5* just for the food alone.

J Kim Yang Tz River Eastwood has the most delicious Korean style Chinese food in Sydney. That is so fresh and tasty. Everything I have ordered has been superb and there is true value for money. All the staff are so friendly. If more than 3-4 people, please try the “course menu” You wont be disappointed! and also cheaper as well.
