3 /5 Bartholomew Tan: Average in our opinion. Had the regular mixed snack pack ($18). Fairly pricey compared to other kebab shops. The fries were ridiculously thick and was quite soggy as they weren’t as fresh I assume and was probably sitting there for a bit. Meats were a little dry as well and portions were smaller compared to other shops.

1 /5 Samira Islam: The chicken meat lovers pizza was absolutely disgusting. Extremely bland and tasted like soap. The crust was far too thick and doughy. The cheese and chicken was super hard and dried up and there was barely any chicken on the pizza. $4.95 for a slice of pizza of such poor quality is outrageous. Super disappointing as this place used to be pretty decent around 10-12 years ago when they had a different business name and owner.

4 /5 Elaine: Can’t speak for other people, but every time I’ve been here I’ve always watched the staff make fresh fries in front of me. (I’ve been here 4 times) Yes there are fries already in the baskets hanging above, but I’m pretty sure they’re raw and just pre poured into the baskets so they can get orders done faster. Salted well, remained crispy even after travelling back home, pretty impressive considering heat usually makes them go soggy. For $20, the chicken snack pack is definitely enough to share between two people, and I was feeling quite full halfway through, a much better deal than the small option at $16. I’ve also watched the staff cut the meat from the roll, and not use dried out chicken that’s left on the grill, which I’ve seen some reviews about. The ratio of fries to chicken was good, personally felt there was a lot more chicken than fries in mine. Chicken was slightly burnt on the ends of some pieces and a tad dry, but it’s really not noteworthy considering my trip was long, it was cold out, and the sauce makes up for it. Have had different staff serve me each time I went, and I haven’t had any bad experiences. I think people should have some empathy for these workers, and a smile, please, and thank you when talking to them goes a long way. I’ve seen other people be asked to pay for a plastic bag when they asked without saying please and being nice about it, but right after when I received my food and asked for a bag, I was given one free of charge. Considering the amount of times I’ve seen customers just basically demand their orders without basic courtesy, I don’t completely blame some staff if at the 8 hour mark of their shift they’re a bit disgruntled.

1 /5 Michael N: I should’ve trusted my gut the moment I saw the Pide and Pizza which looked like damper. The chip was cold and stale. I saw them take it from the basket hanging over the fryer - who knows how long ago it was cooked. The meat had to be regrilled with water because it was dehydrated. And it still was… Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. $23 for this slop.

5 /5 Jack Turner: I was welcomed into Epping Star Eatery a desperate traveller searching for sustenance. The loyal employees of this establishment welcomed us warmly and made us the best pizza I’ve ever had. It felt like a warm blanket, a hug from a loved one after a hard day, a warm beach day with friends. The customer service from both the owner and manager were life changing. Thank you Epping Star Eatery for this experience. I will remain a faithful customer until my days end.
