5 /5 Matthew: Absolutely worth the wait
This was my first time visiting, and I honestly regret not coming earlier. I had heard many times that this restaurant was previously Licom, and friends had been coming here even before it received its One Hat award. After finally dining here, I can confidently say it truly lives up to the reputation.
We visited the new Eastwood location for lunch. Although it opens at 12pm, there was already a long line by 11:45am. Even on a Tuesday, the wait was around 45 minutes but worth it !
The space is modern, bright, and thoughtfully designed. While there aren’t many tables, the spacing is comfortable and never feels cramped. The seating is solid and comfortable, the table settings are elegant, and the lighting is soft and welcoming , everything feels calm and intentional. The menu is concise and purposeful, favouring precision over excess.
We ordered the buckwheat noodles with perilla oil and the pork soup with rice
The buckwheat noodles were deceptively simple yet incredibly aromatic. The perilla oil added a deep, nutty fragrance that elevated the dish, and the flavour lingered pleasantly on the palate after each bite.
The pork soup with rice was outstanding. The first impression broth was aactually watery and a bit tasteless but adding the saeujeot was key it brought out the flavour from the , milky-white beef bone broth, the natural sweetness and depth. It was served with generous portions of pork belly, pork ear, pork maw, and pork heart.
Despite the variety of cuts, the soup was remarkably clean and balanced, with absolutely no offal smell. It was warming, comforting, and deeply satisfying the kind of dish keep thinking about after the meal.
This is the kind of restaurant that makes people happy to line up again
