1 /5 Christine Fathallah: I had an extremely disappointing experience at Sandy Nails, one of the worst I’ve ever had in a salon. I called ahead to book a 6:30 pm appointment, but was advised to come earlier, so I accepted a 5:30 pm slot. Arriving at 4:45 pm as they’d encouraged, I was left waiting until 6:45 pm before they even started my pedicure. When I inquired politely about when my nails would begin, Sandy, the owner, responded rudely, raising her voice and saying, “I’m not doing your nails; you’ll have to wait for another staff member.”
By the time I finished my nails and toes, it was 8:15 pm. After nearly four hours of sitting and waiting, I was exhausted and dizzy, struggling to drive home. The staff showed no remorse for the lengthy wait, and to make matters worse, they charged more than the original price I was quoted.
To add to the frustration, they charged 50 cents per gem for basic stick-on decorations, which were poorly applied with an excess of glue, leaving visible lumps on my nails. When I questioned the result, they told me it was the “finished product.” Unlike others who have been compensated with vouchers for poor service, I received nothing for my experience.
Unfortunately, this visit has left me with no intention of returning to Sandy Nails.
