Warragamba Dam - NSW

Shally Konjo One of the biggest dams in the world. Its just spectacular when looking at the structure, size and magnitude of the dam. Not to mention the wildlife it would have supported. There is a visitor information centre and you can go inside where there is a small museum with information about the dam. Fascinating information about how things were done without technology and how the dam was made. Worth a visit.

Warriewood Valley Community Playground - NSW

L. Kennedy Fantastic playground with something for pretty much every age group. All sand based except for the built in slides on the hill (which you absolutely fly down). Toilets and BBQ facilities at the park with an open oval space behind the park for ball games. Plenty of seating available. Limited bins so I found there was quite a bit of rubbish left around unfortunately.

Kate Ford Nice ideas here for city gardens. So good the way this place has been preserved & the history honoured. Small display of old relics, photos, models and information too. Such a pretty spot on the harbour too with nice walks. So glad I came across this place!

Nikita Plumridge Was great. Easy walk that we could take slowly. My 4 boys (6yrs -2yrs) walked the whole thing. A few stairs here and there can be hard for anyone who has trouble with stairs but a good beautiful walk

Castle Hill Heritage Park Reserve - NSW

Sumit Roy We love this place as this is one of the most well-maintained park with proper walkways, boards with historic details, toilets and childrens play area. This is one of the few parks where walkways with appreciable slopes are there which definitely help to burn calories. Also there are picnic areas with barbecue and decent sitting places. Suggestion; one area specifically requires more attention As we couldnt find any bins to throw our garbage.

Alfred Henry Whaling Memorial Reserve - NSW

Nina Harris Beautiful displays of roses. Well laid out garden beds. Besides ensuring all roses have name plates, my only suggestion to improve the experience - specifically for anyone in a wheelchair- would be to install a small ramp from the upper carpark to the access path to save wheelchair users and their enablers the last steep push to street level when exiting the gardens. If there is an allocated disabled parking area maybe signpost it in all the carparks so we find the most accessible parking.

Dharshini Rodrigo Well maintained park, really love going here. Be great if there were public toilets, so that birthday parties could be held here.
