1 /5 Elle: Do not buy any packages – misleading expiry, no receipt, no notice
Terrible experience with this place. I strongly advise against purchasing any facial packages here.
When I signed up a year ago, I was never informed of a 12-month expiry — not verbally, not in writing. I also did not receive any receipt apart from the EFTPOS slip, which I remember clearly because I was already concerned about having no proof of the package details.
No expiry reminders or messages were sent throughout the year. Then this week, I texted to book my remaining treatments. At no point was I told my package had expired — until I arrived at the venue, having driven 1.5 hours.
To “use” the two remaining treatments I had already paid for, I was told I’d have to buy two more. This is unfair, misleading, and unacceptable under Australian Consumer Law. I’m raising this with the ACCC.
I went ahead with the treatment under protest because I had already made the trip — but this whole experience has been deeply disappointing.
