1 /5 Brian Evans: My usual fish and chip shop was under renovations so I decided to try Poseidons in Lane Cove. The wait wasnt very long, which was good, I didnt order any fish so I cannot comment on what theyre like, I ordered chips, potato scallops, battered savs,and seafood sticks! And unfortunately, it was very ordinary. The potato scallops were disgusting, very small in size and very oily. I thought they were really over cooked and till I realised there was almost no potato in them at all, just batter, really bad taste! The chips and the other items were undercooked, perhaps the reason I got my order so quickly, because at the time it was very busy. The chips had the potential to be good but had no plain salt which I deliberately asked for, The rest of my order had very little salt as well, once again I had asked for plain salt and received very little. While thats not a big issue, the battered savs were much more oily than I was used to the seafood Sticks were tasteless and too, and to top it all off, I was charged an extra dollar more than I shouldve been for the prices they had showing in the display cabinet. I didnt say anything and i thanked them and I received my order without a smile or thanks and left. I definitely will not be going back. I was genuinely disappointed, Poseidons has been there a long time and I thought It wouldve been much better! Lesson learned!

1 /5 Brad T: Picture says a thousand words. When the chips are thicker than your peice of fish .(of fushnchups cos im a kiwi). Calamari was fine,only half rubbery,crab claw and fish stick ok . Chips had no taste and were starchy/chalky and dry in texture to eat,would have been very hard to finish a plate of them.i took a small bight of fush and it had that kinda "hard" batter rather that crunchy yum batter and the fish was barley there .i finished the sides and took the fish n chips back for a refund .gave an extra star for service since they refunded me no questions(or apologies)

5 /5 Amy Bottos: They cook all seafood fresh! Very light batter and flavorful. Affordable price. Paid $65 for a Grilled For Two that has two big fillet of fish, big calamari rings and prawns with chips - enough for three adults. Nice seating area - kids friendly. Surprisingly they also have a Chinese kitchen with authentic dishes. Best part is there’s a playground 100m away which is perfect for family with kids. Heaps of parking behind the restaurant and on the side street as well. Would go there again!

3 /5 Miesha: After a really tight netball match, I decided to reward myself with some fish and chips. Poseidon’s was on the way home so we went to go try it out. We ordered the crumbed fish, grilled fish,calamari and potato scallops. The food was not bad but not great. It took them 20 minutes for them to complete our order which was a bit frustrating.
