3 /5 Rudy Gunawan: We recently have a late lunch at this relatively new restaurant to try their China north-eastern dishes. We ordered their signature crispy pork fillet (guo pau rou), stir-fried cauliflower and braised beef tendons with shallots. Theyre quite good dishes, especially the pork fillets and the beef tendons while the cauliflowers are just average dish. On a second visit, we also ordered other dishes like fried sauerkreut pork dumplings, stir-fried veggie with egg, stir-fried vermicelli with pickled cabbage and braised eggplant with beef tendons. Theyre all not bad but also not great, just average dishes with unique taste from the region
The ambience and decor of the places are good and the menu prices are reasonable.
However, I have big problem with the service from floor-staff. First, they have limited English understanding but luckily the order system using the tablet has English description for all menu items. Secondly, their services are quite rude since theyre trying to rush-out our order and our payment of the bill. I understand that it was close to their closing time but therere other 4 tables also which were still having their lunch but they kept coming to remind us to pay our bill quickly. Thirdly, they have 3% credit-card surcharge policy which is an outright robbery and a blatant attempt to force customers paying with cash to avoid paying tax.
As much as I enjoyed their food, this place is hard to be on my favourite place list.
